Academic Work is searching for a technical writer for a full-time position in Helsinki. This is a great opportunity for a technically oriented professional to show his/her skills in a well-known, international company whose products have gained a pioneer reputation in the industry!

Tasks
In this position, you will work as a part of the R&D Documentation team in Helsinki.
Your days consist of things such as:
- Designing and writing user documents for the Tectia solution as a member of the R&D scrum team
- Aiding other teams in proofreading and language-related tasks
In other words; even though you are a part of R&D Documentation team, you bring your expertise into several product teams. You produce, for instance, administrator-, user-, and installation manuals and product descriptions (that naturally require the ability to draw diagrams and pictures). All the products are focused on securing data and data transfer.
Vaatimukset
Our ideal candidate has got:
- Knowledge of XML and DocBook XML
- Technical illustration skills
- Knowledge of HTML and CSS
- Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Acrobat, and Microsoft Word
- Interest in internet security and an open mind towards technology
- Excellent skills in English (Finnish is optional)
You can either have a degree in English and interest and skills in technology, or the other way around; a degree in technology and interest and excellent skills in English. You are expected to have relevant work experience in technical writing/documenting. Experience in similar kind of software user documentation projects is a strong plus.
