Functional Safety Engineer, Electronics, Etteplan Finland Oy

In this role, you will provide functional safety expertise in embedded hardware architecture and electronics design assignments in different fields of technologies and industry sectors. • Relevant education (e.g. M.Sc. degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, Embedded Systems or in a similar applicable area)
• Experience in the following topics:
  • Embedded electronics design and architecture
  • Providing Functional Safety expertise for design and architecture within system and sub-system level
  • Ensuring compliance with related standards (e.g. IEC 61508 and ISO 13849)
  • Assessing risk and performing e.g. FMEA and FMEDA activities
  • Systematic and random failure management and prevention activities
  • Defining Safety requirements
  • Preparing approval documentation
• Fluent English language skills
• Good analytical skills

It is seen as advantage to have knowledge or experience in one or more of the following topics:

• Embedded SW development (low-level C, C++, Yocto Linux)
• RF, wireless protocols (e.g. BLE, WiFi, 4/5G, etc.)
• DFM / DFT
• Smart sensor technologies
• Battery powered and low-power electronics
• EV electronics and charger design
• Power supply design
