About the role
We are looking for a motivated Design Engineer to join Coctio’s team. In this key role, you will be responsible for the design and development of Coctio’s equipment and processes, as well as for leading technical implementations. This role combines technical expertise, project management, and customer collaboration. You will visit the production facility in Joensuu approximately once a month. The final scope of responsibilities will be defined based on the selected candidate’s experience and skillset.

Work tasks
- Design and development of industrial food processing equipment and systems
- Management of production schedules and collaboration with external subcontractors
- Review and approval of technical requirements for components
- Procurement and component purchasing activities
- Identifying customer needs, solving technical problems, and ensuring customer satisfaction
- Design and drafting work using CREO software
- Close collaboration with internal teams
- Domestic and international customer visits as part of project implementation
We are looking for
- A suitable degree in engineering (Bachelor’s or Master’s level)
- Experience in mechanical or process design, preferably related to food machinery or industrial equipment
- Proficiency in design software (e.g., SolidWorks or CREO)
- Fluent spoken and written English, and good proficiency in Finnish
- Willingness to travel internationally a few times per year

- You have experience working with external subcontractors and suppliers
- You have a customer-oriented mindset and strong problem-solving abilities
