Increasing information security requirements raise the demand for Identity & Access Management (IAM) specialists. Since traditional education programs do not produce enough of these professionals, Matrix42 has decided to lead the way and invest in potential.
In collaboration with Academic Work, the service management software company Matrix42 recruits IT professionals whose assignment begins with a 12-day IAM Boost training. During this paid specialization period, the professionals receive an intensive induction into the world of IAM.
The IAM Boost specialized training period organized by Academic Work covers modern IAM technologies and protocols, strict regulatory requirements in the field, basics of security architecture, as well as programming and incident management tools.
Those selected for the training are required to have a relevant higher education degree in IT, basic programming or scripting skills, and fluent Finnish and English language skills.
Because the future IAM consultants work closely at the customer interface, technical understanding alone is not enough. The selections strongly emphasize motivation, learning ability, logical perception, and excellent interaction skills.
After 12 days, the professionals start their work and immediately get to build on what they have learned in practical specialist roles.
“This enables an exceptionally steep development curve and creates productive specialists for the company in record time,” says Eero Saine, who is responsible for the project at Academic Work.
The IAM Boost project starts in May 2026 in collaboration with Matrix42 and the search is already open. However, it is possible to include other companies interested in IAM professionals in the implementation.
