About the role

You will support the road business division by ensuring accurate financial reporting. As part of a virtual team spanning several cluster countries, you will play a key role in maintaining high-quality accounting standards.

Our client provides a 12-month fixed-term contract to start with. You will get the chance to work in a supportive, modern office in Vantaa. In this role you will develop your skills in a rapid environment and build your expertism with your team members all over Nordics.

Work tasks

The role involves managing daily accounting operations for the road business unit, ensuring compliance with VAT and fixed asset regulations, and supporting the month-end closing cycle within a service center environment.

• Perform general ledger accounting and month-end closing activities
• Verify and ensure the accuracy of accounts payable and VAT entries
• Manage fixed asset accounting and IFRS 16 related items
• Support the Shared Service Center with financial inquiries and reconciliations
• Utilize Excel for data analysis and financial reporting
• Collaborate with international team members across the Nordic and Baltic regions
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of accounting processes

We are looking for

• Advanced proficiency in English
• Basic knowledge of general accounting principles and practices
• Good skills in Microsoft Excel
• Educational background in Accounting
• Willingness to learn and adapt to a fast-paced environment

It is meritorious if you have

• Good knowledge of Finnish, Swedish, Estonian, or Russian
• Previous experience with SAP or similar ERP systems
• Familiarity with IFRS standards, specifically IFRS 16
• Experience working within a Shared Service Center (SSC) environment
