Commissioning Engineer, Konecranes, Hyvinkää & global traveling

About the role

The Ports Solution Software Team is responsible for developing new functional features for container handling applications. The solutions range from operator-assisting features to fully autonomous equipment, making cranes safer, smarter, and more efficient.

As a Commissioning Engineer, you will spend most of your time traveling around the globe to client sites, and we expect you to be able to travel for a minimum of two to three months at a time. You focus on automation system setups in different locations with a team beside you. This is a great opportunity to network worldwide and get the chance to enter an interesting global company.

Work tasks

• Automation system setups on customer sites around the world
• Software installation, configuration & testing (Windows, Linux)
• Hardware device installation, configuration & testing (PC, IP devices like cameras)
• Troubleshooting

We are looking for

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree level in Automation or Electrics
• Basic understanding of ethernet-based device communication
• Basic understanding of electrical drawings
• Windows & Linux operating system experience
• Systematic problem-solving skills
• Fluent English skills, written and spoken
• Ability and willingness to travel continuously for work

It is meritorious if you have

• Hands-on experience in project deliveries
• Understanding of PLC programming (S7 and Tiaportal)
