About the role

We are looking for a Data Analytics Test Engineer to join KONE’s digital development teams in Espoo. In this position, you will work with advanced analytics solutions that process raw elevator data and transform it into actionable insights for maintenance operations. KONE’s systems collect vast amounts of data from elevators worldwide. Machine learning and data analytics models interpret this data to detect anomalies, predict failures and guide technicians on what actions to take. Your role is to verify that these analytics-driven solutions work as expected and ensure the reliability and accuracy of the entire chain—from raw data to user-facing applications. Work tasks

• Testing analytics and machine learning–driven functionalities
• Verifying data flows, data quality and model outputs
• Designing test approaches for new analytics features
• Validating how analytics results impact the UI and guide technicians in maintenance tasks
• Collaborating daily with developers, data engineers and data scientists

We are looking for

• Educational or professional background in data engineering, analytics, machine learning, big data or similar
• Ability to work with data pipelines and reason about system behaviour end-to-end
• Strong analytical thinking and curiosity
• Willingness to take ownership and build testing structures
• Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate with technical experts
• Fluency in English

Experience with Python, SQL, cloud platforms (AWS), or analytics tools is considered an advantage, but the most important factors are your interest and capability to understand data-driven systems.
