About the role

This role is focused on supporting the global Business Unit's internal communication needs. You will actively contribute to planning and execution on communication strategies while supporting in ad-hoc communication needs. You'll take part in shaping the internal narrative, engaging employees, and ensuring consistent messaging across various platforms. The position involves close collaboration with business experts and senior leadership to translate complex topics into clear, impactful communications.

Work tasks

As a Communication Specialist, you will drive internal communication efforts, ensuring the global Business Unit remains connected and informed. This involves planning, creating, and distributing engaging content across multiple channels, supporting strategic initiatives, and maintaining digital communication platforms.

• Participating in the development and implementation of internal communication plans
• Producing content; e.g. articles, presentations, newsletters, bulletins and project communications for various internal channels
• Manage and update intranet content, ensuring accuracy and engagement
• Participating in organizing and hosting virtual communication events, such as info calls and webcasts
• Support senior leaders in crafting effective communication for strategic initiatives and change management
• Other communication-related tasks

We are looking for

• Suitable educational background e.g. in marketing/communications
• Some prior experience in communications role to best support and consult the organization in different communication needs
• Strong understanding of internal communication principles, visual identity and tone of voice guidelines within a corporate environment
• Ability to effectively guide and advise senior leadership on communication strategies
• Advanced proficiency in English, both written and verbal, Finnish skills are seen as an advantage
• A proactive attitude with a strong willingness to learn and adapt
• Demonstrated flexibility and eagerness for professional growth through feedback

Academic Work will conduct interviews during weeks 18-19, and client interviews will take place on week 20.
