We are currently looking for an experienced Lead NPI Engineer (New Product Introduction) for our client in Tampere. Our client is a global pioneer in the development of energy solutions and power grids. They design technology that stabilizes power grids and enables the seamless integration of renewable energy. About the role
In this key role, you will act as a technical leader and work closely with R&D, system design, and sales. Your main responsibility is to ensure the top quality of valve technology for new power electronics products – especially for Static Synchronous Compensators (STATCOM). We are looking for someone who can work 3–4 days a week at the Tampere office.

Work tasks
Leading New Product Introduction efforts, focusing on valve and power electronics technologies to ensure product quality and drive innovation in sustainable energy solutions.
- Planning and aligning the technological roadmap for product development.
- Evaluating, validating, and approving technical solutions.
- Defining, planning, and leading high-voltage and sub-module tests.
- Acting as a technical expert and mentoring other team members.
- Collaborating with key component suppliers and supporting cost-out programs.
- Delivering technical presentations to both internal stakeholders and external customers.
We are looking for
- Advanced knowledge of Electrical Engineering (Master's degree or higher)
- Advanced knowledge of semiconductor and valve technology
- Good understanding of power electronics (e.g., IGBT, SiC, GaN)
- Advanced problem-solving and prioritization skills
- Advanced English skills (both written and spoken)
It is meritorious if you have
- Good understanding of FACTS devices (Flexible AC Transmission Systems)
- Experience in project and test management
- Proficiency in industry tools and systems (e.g., Matlab/Simulink, HIL, RTDS)
