About the role
As a Product Engineer, you will be part of a team who has the overall technical responsibility of the product lines. You will mainly focus on a development of food waste systems but also have a chance to work with Evac's novel HydroTreat product, a game changing HTC based system for processing waste into useful biochar.
As a Product Engineer your main responsibilities are for example assisting in product development projects and ensuring they are professionally handled and documented. You will also work out products' functionalities with process engineering and do continuous improvement and development tasks.
To be successful in this role, you need have a good technical experience and knowledge in product development. As person we are looking for a proactive, well organized, and outgoing team player with a can-do attitude.

Work tasks
- Assisting in product development projects and ensure they are professionally handled and documented
- Handling the technical responsibilities of the wet waste treatment products
- Continuous improvement and development tasks
- Close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, such as lead product engineers, product line managers and sales
We are looking for
- Relevant study background in process, mechanical or chemical engineering
- Experience in product development, product management and/or project engineering
- Knowledge in waste handling or water treatment
- Knowledge of process equipment such as pumps, valves, piping, heat exchangers, and pressure vessels
- Proactive and organized approach to work
- Excellent communication and cooperation skills
- Good IT skills and basic understanding in PDM/PLM tools
- Proficiency in English
The office is located in Leppävaara and Evac offers a flexible remote work opportunity when work tasks allow it. The role also requires frequent visits to the testing facility in Hyrylä, Tuusula.
