About the role
In this role, you will be responsible for the mechanical design of advanced electronic devices, with a strong focus on integration, reliability, and perceived quality. You will work very closely with hardware engineers, ensuring that electronics, mechanics, thermal management, and manufacturing come together as a functional, compact, and reliable product.
The role is hands-on and end-to-end: from concept and 3D design to simulation, prototyping, validation, and supporting certification and production.

Work tasks
This role involves the comprehensive mechanical design of electronic devices, focusing on integration, thermal management, material selection, and ensuring product reliability and compliance with international standards.
- Integrate hardware into mechanical designs.
- Perform advanced tolerance analysis.
- Verify designs through simulation and prototyping.
- Solve complex mechanical problems, focusing on compact solutions.
- Select and optimize materials (metals, plastics, ceramics) and manufacturing technologies.
- Develop reliable assembly designs and instructions.
- Ensure reliability and certification according to international standards (IEC, MIL, RoHS).
We are looking for
- Strong and broad experience in mechanical design across different technologies
- Experience designing mechanics for electronic or electromechanical products
- Understanding of materials such as metals, plastics, elastomers, ceramics, and glass
- Knowledge of manufacturing methods (sheet metal, machined parts, molded components, etc.)
- Experience with tolerance analysis and high perceived mechanical quality
- Ability to design compact, integrated mechanical solutions
- Strong problem-solving skills and a practical engineering mindset
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of mechanical design topics
It is meritorious if you have
- Experience with telecommunication or high-reliability technology products
- Experience with thermal design and heat management
- Familiarity with reliability standards and testing (IEC, MIL, RoHS, etc.)
- Experience supporting product certification (e.g. CE, MIL)
- Experience with CATIA or similar advanced mechanical CAD tools
- Experience working in environments where mechanics, hardware, and manufacturing are tightly coupled
