About the role
As a Solution Specialist, you will act as a key link between business stakeholders and IT teams. You will help define solution requirements, support implementations and integrations, and contribute to the continuous development of EAM capabilities. The role combines solution design, stakeholder collaboration, and elements of project coordination. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary IT team located across Finland and Sweden, communicating primarily in English.

Work tasks
As a Solution Specialist, you will be the technical backbone of our Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) ecosystem. Your role bridges the gap between high-level business requirements and hands-on technical execution.
- Solution Design & Technical Specification: Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to translate operational needs into detailed technical specifications and solution designs.
- System Configuration & Development: Perform hands-on configuration, including screen changes, data field mapping, and automation scripting (e.g., Python/Java) within the EAM environment.
- Integration Management: Design, implement, and support critical integrations between EAM systems (e.g., IBM Maximo) and other core platforms like ERP (SAP), GIS, or IoT sensors.
- Deep Asset Management Optimization: Apply deep EAM knowledge to improve the full asset lifecycle, from preventive maintenance (PM) scheduling to work order management and asset health monitoring.
- Continuous System Development: Actively participate in the continuous development of EAM capabilities, ensuring the system remains scalable, secure, and performant.
- Roadmap & Architecture Planning: Contribute to long-term roadmap planning and development initiatives, ensuring technical solutions align with the broader IT architecture.
- Technical Project Coordination: Lead or support implementation projects in a technical coordination capacity, ensuring that delivery meets both functional requirements and technical standards.
- Troubleshooting & Support: Provide high-level technical support and root-cause analysis for complex system issues or data integration failures.
We are looking for
- IT-related educational background or equivalent experience
- Experience working with Enterprise Asset Management systems (IBM Maximo experience is an advantage but not mandatory)
- Deep understanding of the Asset Lifecycle, Preventive Maintenance (PM) scheduling, and Work Order management.
- Experience in system configuration tooling or basic programming skills (SQL, Python, or Java) for system customizations.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical stakeholders
- Understanding of business processes and IT solution delivery
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Proactive and self-driven working style with a team-oriented mindset
- Fluent in English
