Senior Layout Designer, Tampere

About the role

In this role, you will be responsible for the PCB layout design of demanding telecommunication devices. These are high-security systems.

You will work in close cooperation with hardware (HW) designers and mechanical designers. You will become part of a project led by experienced industry veterans.

Work tasks

• Your focus will be on PCB layout design. You will collaborate closely with HW designers as well as mechanical designers.
• Designing dense multi-layer PCBs with high-speed buses.
• Routing of High Speed buses, memories, and communication buses.
• Component placement and PCB structure design for compact spaces.
• Creation of manufacturing data and documentation.
• Collaborating closely with HW designers to ensure layout feasibility and manufacturability.

We are looking for

• We are primarily looking for a senior-level professional with strong experience in demanding layout design.
• Experience: You preferably have over 5 years of work experience, your skills are very strong, and you are capable of independent work.
• Tools: You are proficient in Altium Designer and have excellent command of it.
• Technical skills: You understand high-speed buses, the basics of Signal Integrity (SI), and the challenges of multilayer boards.
• Language: You communicate fluently in English.

It is considered an advantage if you have:

• Experience in designing telecommunication or encryption devices.
• Understanding of HW design.
• Experience with SI simulation.
