Application Specialist – Track & Trace

About the role

In this role, you will manage and develop our Track & Trace solution. Acting as the bridge between IT, business stakeholders, and external vendors, you will ensure seamless tracking of shipments from mills to customers.

Work tasks

As an Application Specialist, you will oversee the integration, monitoring, and continuous improvement of our delivery tracking systems, collaborating closely with carriers, business units, and IT partners.

• Improve the overall tracking of deliveries across major carriers and key markets.
• Onboard new carriers and assist with integrating their IT systems with Fourkites.
• Analyze tracking data using Business Intelligence reports to identify root causes and areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to define priorities and next steps for tracking success.
• Ensure stable connections and message flows between internal TMS, OTM, and external platforms.
• Enhance reporting tools and overall data quality for end-customer visibility.
• Manage relationships with external IT vendors, including Zure and Digia, to resolve issues and implement changes.

We are looking for

• Good knowledge of data analysis with a strong analytical mindset to find root causes in data.
• Good understanding of the IT field, particularly how multiple complex systems interact.
• Experience or strong interest in Vendor Management.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
• Ability to work independently and drive tasks forward self-sufficiently.

It is meritorious if you have

• Experience with Azure-based environments.
• Knowledge of Business Intelligence (BI) and reporting tools.
• Familiarity with API Management and EDI connections.
• Basic understanding of cost management and budgeting.
• Prior experience in the logistics or transportation industry.
