About the role
As an Embedded Safety Developer, you will be an essential member of our embedded systems development team. You’ll be responsible for the safety and reliability of our software, contributing to the design and implementation of core safety functionalities in our charging devices. You’ll collaborate closely with hardware and software engineers in a multidisciplinary environment to ensure product quality and compliance with international safety standards. Work is mainly done on-site at the Tampere or Lahti office.

Work tasks
- Develop and maintain safety-critical embedded software for EV charging solutions
- Write code in C and apply the MISRA C standard and other quality requirements
- Design and implement software solutions for microcontrollers
- Participate in software testing, validation, and code reviews
- Develop and implement processes and tools to meet safety standards (e.g., UL 1998, IEC 61508).
- Work as part of a small, agile Scrum team
We are looking for
- Advanced knowledge of C programming.
- Good understanding of MISRA C guidelines
- Experience with microcontroller development (e.g., STM32).
- Good understanding of safety-related software development.
- Ability to read electronic schematics
- Good knowledge of GIT version control.
- Basic knowledge of static code analysis tools.
- Proficiency in English.
It is meritorious if you have
- Experience with Real-time Operating Systems (RTOS).
- Knowledge of functional safety standards (e.g. UL1998, IEC 61508, ISO 26262).
- Experience with software testing environments (HIL, SIL, Unit Tests).
- Proficiency in Finnish.
- Experience with process development for safety requirements.
