Group Controller, St1 Nordic Oy, Helsinki

About the role

St1 is looking for a Group Controller who has the willingness and ability to quickly learn new areas, as well as the ability to transform and improve current models and invent new solutions. This role is ideal for someone who is self-motivated, hands-on and proactive, and enjoys both the hands-on aspects of financial management and the opportunity to improve and develop processes.

You will be responsible for financial monitoring and planning for Group Functions, coordinating cost allocations, and managing service invoicing. You’ll work closely with business leadership and the finance team, and contribute to reporting development using Power BI. The role offers a chance to influence group-level practices, but also requires precision and commitment to delivering high-quality recurring tasks.

Work tasks

The key tasks of this role are:

• Financial monitoring, forecasting, and long-term planning for Group Functions
• Development and coordination of cost allocation models
• Service invoicing to joint ventures and management of internal agreements
• Development and maintenance of Power BI reports
• Supporting personnel cost and FTE forecasting in collaboration with HR

We are looking for

• Relevant higher education (e.g. BBA or MSc in Economics and Business Administration)
• Approximately three years of experience in similar roles within a group or corporate environment
• Ability to see the big picture while maintaining attention to detail
• Strong prioritization skills, proactivity, and a hands-on attitude
• Fast learner
• Fluent English skills
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft 365, Excel, and Power BI, combined with up-to-date forecasting and reporting tools Ability to use AI-enhanced tools and Tabella will be considered an advantage, same as fluency in Finnish, Swedish, or Norwegian
