About the role
This role is instrumental in improving our client's IT Software Asset Management (SAM) and risk compliance processes, enhancing ways of working, and increasing maturity. You will lead the strategy, design, and implementation of SAM principles across the organization, ensuring robust control and optimization of software assets. Location is preferably Tampere, but Espoo is also an option.

Work tasks
You will be responsible for leading the strategic direction and operational execution of software asset management, ensuring compliance, optimizing costs, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the IT organization.
- Lead IT software asset management principles, strategy, and ways of working.
- Design and implement the complete lifecycle of every Software Asset, including internal and external service provider interfaces.
- Ensure IT SAM processes and RACI are designed to confirm software assets are controlled, identified, owned, and maintained.
- Instill Software Asset Management principles and best practices, improving processes through Continual Service Improvement and automation.
- Design and deploy license provisioning, deprovisioning, audit processes, and asset management processes with the IT procurement team.
- Increase the maturity of the IT Software Asset Management virtual organization by ensuring effective process and tool usage.
- Define, design, and deploy an IT Software Asset Management tool that supports SAM and procurement processes.
We are looking for
- Advanced knowledge of Software Asset Management principles and best practices.
- Good knowledge of Continual Service Improvement (CSI) methodologies.
- Experience in project management, particularly process design and implementation.
- Familiarity with Software Asset Management Tools.
