Kickstart your career in procurement – we are looking for a Junior Purchaser!

Do you want to gain valuable work experience in indirect procurement and purchasing? We are currently looking for an efficient pair of extra hands to join our client's team for a fixed-term position from June until the end of October. Ideally, you already hold a relevant degree or are nearing the completion of your studies, and you are eager to apply what you have learned in practice. Previous experience as a buyer is not strictly necessary, as a genuine enthusiasm and a quick ability to learn are what matter most!

About the role

In this role, you will support the indirect procurement team by ensuring that the company's daily purchasing needs are met efficiently. You will work closely as part of a five-member team of experts responsible for everything from office supplies to service contracts.

Work tasks

Managing and coordinating incoming purchase requests, including the following tasks:

  • Process and handle purchase requests
  • Create and manage purchase orders (POs)
  • Place orders with approved suppliers according to established guidelines
  • Receive and confirm deliveries in ERP
  • Support internal logistics and coordinate inbound deliveries
  • Assist team members across departments with day-to-day purchasing needs

We are looking for

  • A relevant educational background, e.g., in Business Administration or Industrial Management
  • A basic understanding of procurement processes and order management
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with precision
  • Fluent English language skills
  • A proactive approach to work

It is meritorious if you have

  • Fluent Finnish language skills
