We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer for our client Konecranes to reinforce their Rope Hoist Platform team in Hämeenlinna. The team is responsible for rope hoist technology, product definition, and product lifecycle management of the Q & R rope hoist product lines. About the role
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be working together with lead engineers and actively participate in engineering custom solutions for a new rope hoist product family. In this role, you will focus on conceptual designing and creating comprehensive technical solutions. You will work with different stakeholders, research and collect information, perform different calculations and produce detailed design guidelines. You work as a part of highly competent team and have an important role in mechanical engineering of customized crane components and tailored customer solutions.
We are looking for a person who has good understanding in mechanical engineering and ability to work independently and proactively and communicate efficiently with different stakeholders.

Work tasks
- Conducting in conceptual design and development of mechanical crane components
- Generating detailed design guidelines and technical documentation
- Executing different calculations and cost estimations for design solutions
- Collaborating with product management and other stakeholders
We are looking for
- Relevant study background
- Good understanding of mechanical engineering and designing
- Solid understanding of 3D designing softwares and good modelling skills
- Strong motivation and passion to work with technical solutions
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with different stakeholders
- Ability to complete tasks independently and precisely
- Fluent English skills
Knowledge and/or experience of industrial manufacturing methods is an advantage.
