Operations Controller, Helsinki

About the role

Operational Controller monitors and develops metrics for operational performance and actively follows costs. Based on this, the role supports, challenges, and advises the GBS management and ensures that operations and services are provided in locations where it is operationally most efficient and cost-effective. You are responsible for example developing a controlling framework enabling GBS management to define targets for efficiency, performance improvements and quality. You are also responsible for controlling for the GBS function in Finland, Sweden and Poland, and designing GBS process measurements with process owners, setting targets and reports to support decision-making.

Work tasks

This role involves deep diving into financial performance, optimizing operational costs, and refining financial processes within a global environment. You will be instrumental in developing and implementing financial frameworks, providing strategic insights, and supporting management decisions across a multi-country operations.

• Developing a controlling framework enabling GBS management to define targets for efficiency, performance improvements, and quality
• Controlling for the GBS function in Finland, Sweden and Poland
• Designing GBS process measurements with process owners, setting targets and reports to support decision-making
• Coordinating and instructing GBS managers in budgeting and forecasting processes as well as following up costs
• Communicating and collaborating with business stakeholders in controlling matters

We are looking for

• Degree in economics, preferably accounting or industrial management
• Strong experience working in finance and controlling
• Experience in controlling operations or functions (e.g. IT, HR, Supply Chain)
• Excellent IT-skills and experience with tools such Excel, PowerBi, SAP
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Proactive, analytical and systematic way of working
• Fluency in English, Finnish and Swedish is an advantage
