Supplier Development Engineer, Vaasa, Helsinki or Turku

Work tasks

• Managing new product introduction and leading proactive quality assurance activities for castings manufacturing and machining.
• Analysing supplier performance and capabilities, identifying development opportunities and driving impactful development actions.
• Developing and executing supplier development action plans to improve supplier performance.
• Supporting suppliers with their operational development initiatives in relation to quality, delivery and cost.
• Executing supplier audits and audit follow-up according to supplier development action plan and verifying impact.

We are looking for

• Advanced knowledge of iron and aluminium casting and machining technologies, and manufacturing processes
• Good understanding of quality management processes
• Excellent communication skills to influence and collaborate across teams
• Advanced problem-solving skills and a systematic way of working
• Fluency in English, both verbal and written
• Willingness to travel
