Technical Project Trainee, KONE Marine, Hyvinkää

About the role

As a Technical Project Trainee, you will support project engineers in their daily project-related tasks. The role is trainee-level and learning-oriented: you will receive tasks one at a time and gradually take on more responsibility as you grow into the role. You will primarily support the management of project materials, documentation, and deliveries, while acting as a link between various stakeholders. More important than prior work experience is a proactive, hands-on attitude and strong motivation to work in technical project environments. The role also requires strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with different stakeholders.

Your home office will be located in Hyvinkää, and during the first month the work will be carried out fully on-site. After this, you will be able to work according to a hybrid model (3 days per week at the office).

Work tasks

• Supporting the project team in daily tasks
• Assisting with materials, orders, and schedules
• Maintaining project documentation and Excel-based follow-ups
• Reviewing and working with technical drawings
• Communicating with internal and external stakeholders in Finland and across Europe

We are looking for

• Relevant higher education studies in mechanical engineering or industrial engineering and management (e.g. a 2nd–3rd year student)
• Understanding of mechanical and/or electrical engineering fundamentals
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Excellent command of MS Office tools, especially Excel
• Fluent written and spoken English skills

Previous exposure to or understanding of the metal industry and Finnish language skills are considered an advantage.
