Recruitment
About the role
We are a growing team of 15 experts dedicated to developing and manufacturing critical satellite components from propulsion modules to deorbiting brakes. Our products are small in size but represent massive engineering challenges across mechanics, electronics, and software. Our customers are primarily international—spanning from Korea and Singapore to across Europe. We don’t just ship components; we provide end-to-end expertise, sometimes traveling to assist our customers with integration.
This hands-on role involves the innovative design and maintenance of specialized test equipment as well as the practical execution of component testing. You will ensure the reliability and functionality of our test equipment and satellite components, collaborating closely with our senior test manager and R&D engineers in a dynamic, high-tech environment.
You are offered
You will be working in one of the most exciting industries in the world. As part of a compact and agile team, your contribution will be visible and vital. It is for sure that you will get to challenge yourself and develop your skills - each day is different. You’ll get to see the entire lifecycle of a product—from a CAD model to a finished component heading into space. Our office and lab are located in the heart of the tech hub in Otaniemi, Espoo.
Work tasks
In this role, your primary focus will be on developing and maintaining our testing infrastructure. Space is a harsh environment, and everything we build must be rigorously tested in vacuum conditions before launch. In addition, you will use these testing methods and equipment by conducting practical component testing.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Designing, building, and maintaining custom test equipment (e.g., vacuum chambers and integrated sensor systems).
- Practical testing of satellite components and propulsion modules.
- Mechanical and electronic assembly, including CAD modeling.
- Software design for the test equipment.
- Working closely with senior test manager and engineers to turn concepts into functional test setups.
- Laboratory management, including cleanroom maintenance as well as equipment purchase planning, installations and upkeep
We are looking for
- Versatile Engineering Skills and hands-on capability: A solid understanding of electronics, mechanics, and basic software principles - proven ability to build, assemble, and troubleshoot mechanical and electronic systems. You have demonstrated experience in job or hobby projects involving complex assembly (e.g., drones)
- Precision & Quality: Working with vacuum systems, pressure systems, and chemicals requires a high level of diligence and an understanding of cleanroom protocols.
- Internal Drive: You have a natural desire to do things right and the initiative to solve problems independently.
- Language Skills: English is our primary working language. Professional fluency in both written and spoken English is essential.
- Please make sure, you are ready to work from our office & lab in Otaniemi, Espoo - we need you to be there were concrete things happen.
It is meritorious if you have
- Basic knowledge of electronics design software (e.g., KiCAD).
- Experience with manufacturing techniques like 3D printing, laser cutting, or machining.
- Knowledge of software development.
- Previous experience in laboratory or cleanroom environments.
The final candidate must pass a security background check (SUPO) before the start of the employment.
