About the role
As an Assistant Portfolio Manager, you will support our client’s IT leadership and stakeholders in managing the portfolio's roadmap and financials. Your core mission is to ensure that investments align with strategic objectives, adhere to governance standards, and utilize resources efficiently. You will collaborate closely with the internal stakeholders such as the Department Head, Portfolio Managers, Product Managers and Product Owners.
This is a great opportunity to apply your understanding of business controlling in an international environment while developing your expertise in portfolio management. The position is located in Keilaniemi, Espoo, and follows a hybrid model with weekly on-site work.

Work tasks
- Portfolio Coordination: Collect, maintain, and support the communication of proposed development items, initiatives, and overall portfolio status to stakeholders.
- Portfolio Financial Management: Monitor and track portfolio-level financial performance, assist in variance analysis, and coordinate budgeting/budget adjustment processes with finance partners.
- Data and Reporting: Prepare and maintain dashboards for project statuses, portfolio financials, and capacity planning, including scenario planning and forecasting.
- Governance and Compliance: Support adherence to the company's project management methodology and specific portfolio governance standards.
- Resource and Budget Support: Facilitate resource demand-supply analysis and assist with annual/quarterly budget cycle activities in portfolio management tools.
- Tool Support: Act as IT department's key user for the portfolio management tool
We are looking for
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Industrial Engineering
- 1–2 years of experience in the field of business controlling
- Understanding of portfolio management and portfolio financial management principles
- Proficiency in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and data visualization tools like Power BI
- Fluency in English
- Excellent communication skills
It is meritorious if you have:
- Experience from Software Development projects
- Experience from Manufacturing or Industrial Services business
