About the role
In this role, you will be focusing on backend development and are responsible for building backend systems that integrate frontier LLMs into clinical workflows under GDPR. You will also ensure that performance, scalability and security of the platform are consistently taken into account.
A key part of your day-to-day work will involve collaborating closely with a distributed engineering team, participating in daily stand-ups, and actively contributing to technical discussions and decision-making.
While you will have a high degree of independence in your work, you are expected to take ownership of your tasks and contribute proactively to both implementation and the evolution of the overall system architecture.

Work tasks
- Designing and implementing secure, scalable backend systems and databases
- Building APIs that connect with modern LLMs (e.g. OpenAI and Claude)
- Ensuring security best practices and GDPR compliance across all development activities
- Actively participating in daily stand-ups and close collaboration with a small, distributed engineering team
- Contributing to system architecture discussions and the ongoing scaling of the platform
We are looking for
- Degree in relevant field
- Knowledge of Python, TypeScript and PostgreSQL
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), Docker, and CI/CD workflows
- Good knowledge of web services and development
- Thoughtful communicator with excellent collaboration skills
- Ability to take ownership of tasks and solve problems independently
- Full working proficiency in English
