About the role
In this role, you will play a central supporting part across the software organization, helping maintain, streamline, and build software builds and development environments.
Our client is a international leader in high-reliability technology solutions, with their Tampere competence center specializing in advanced passenger information systems for rail and public transport. As a key contact for build systems and developer tooling, your core focus will be empowering developers and ensuring reliable software infrastructure.

Work tasks
- Administer and maintain Linux server environments (e.g., Debian, RHEL).
- Configure, optimize, and maintain Jenkins CI/CD automation pipelines and software builds.
- Develop infrastructure automation and scripting using tools like Bash, Python, and Ansible.
- Act as a primary point of contact for software build and tooling questions, assisting development colleagues with technical inquiries.
We are looking for
- Solid foundation in Linux administration (including package management in Debian or RedHat environments).
- Administration and support of Atlassian tools, with a primary focus on Jira
- Hands-on experience with the Jenkins framework (or comparable CI/CD toolsets).
- Ability to script and create practical automation to simplify software processes.
- Good written and spoken English language skills.
It Is Meritorious If You Have:
- Experience with automation tools such as Ansible.
- Proficiency in Bash and/or Python scripting.
- Familiarity with Maven build systems (Java environments) and Git version control.
- Understanding of modern CI/CD pipeline principles.
- Finnish language skills (seen as a plus, though English is the primary working language).
