About the role
In this position, you will work within the Industrial Measurements business area, focusing on high-precision instruments used in demanding industrial processes. Unlike pure electronics testing, this role focuses on the performance and durability of the complete product.
You will join a program consisting of multiple R&D projects where you’ll be supported by senior test engineers. The work is 100% on-site at Vaisala’s modern headquarters and laboratories in Vantaa, allowing you to work closely with physical devices and design teams.

Work tasks
- Environmental & Reliability Testing: Executing tests according to established setups (e.g., thermal cycling) and reporting the results.
- Mechanical Observation: Analyzing how plastics, metals, and coatings react under stress
- Failure Analysis: Troubleshooting mechanical and hardware issues in collaboration with electronics, mechanical, and software designers.
- Documentation: Reporting findings and managing test cases using Jira and Confluence.
We are looking for
- A relevant degree in engineering (e.g., Mechanical Engineering, Material Science, or Electronics). We also welcome students in the final stages of their studies.
- Previous experience from technical summer jobs, internships, or hobbies (e.g., maintenance, assembly, repair, or DIY electronics/mechanics projects).
- A solid technical foundation and a meticulous eye for detail. This role is about understanding the physical hardware and materials.
- Fluency in English is required. Finnish is considered an advantage.
It is meritorious if you have
- Good knowledge of Jira and Confluence.
- Some knowledge of Atlas.
- Basic Finnish language skills.
