About the role
As a Senior Embedded Developer, you will play a key role in developing safety-critical software that powers the next generation of electric vehicles. Working in a Scrum team, you will design, implement, and document embedded solutions that directly contribute to our client’s mission of revolutionizing transportation. This is a permanent position based in Tampere with a hybrid working model.

Work tasks
In this role, you will contribute to the design and improvement of safety-related software solutions, ensuring compliance with industry standards. Your daily work includes close collaboration with testing companies, project managers, and hardware designers.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Designing and developing safety-related embedded software
- Following and improving safety-related software development processes
- Working on microcontrollers (e.g., STM32) and embedded Linux in distributed systems
- Communicating with 3rd party testing companies, project managers, and HW designers
- Implementing MISRA C standards and static code analysis in daily development
We are looking for
- Proven experience in safety-critical software design and development
- Strong programming skills in C and C++
- Experience with MISRA C
- Familiarity with microcontrollers (e.g., STM32)
- Experience with RTOS and static code analysis tools
- Knowledge of Linux (Yocto)
- Understanding of data structures and ability to read schematics
- Proficiency with version control systems (Git)
It is meritorious if you have
- Broader experience in distributed embedded systems
- Hands-on experience with additional safety-critical standards
- Familiarity with continuous integration practices and toolchains
