Technical Support Specialist (Connectivity), KONE Industrial, Hyvinkää

About the role

As a Technical Support Specialist, you will support KONE’s R&D and Global Spares Supply (GSS) projects related to network and connectivity devices, including gateways, modems, and remote monitoring systems. Your role will focus on understanding how these devices operate and connect, supporting the global rollout of connectivity solutions, and ensuring technical excellence across international teams. You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders from R&D and regional teams, as well as external suppliers. This is an excellent opportunity to develop deep expertise in a rapidly expanding field and contribute directly to KONE’s innovation and digitalization journey. You are expected to come to the office in Hyvinkää at least three times a week.

Work tasks

• Support R&D and GSS projects related to connectivity and networking devices
• Work with gateway and interface devices, supporting the transition from 2G/3G to 4G technology
• Provide technical support and guidance to country organizations on connectivity-related issues
• Handle technical requests regarding device operation, functionality, and certification
• Collaborate with global suppliers and teams to ensure smooth distribution and deployment of connectivity devices
• Contribute to process improvements and documentation to strengthen global connectivity knowledge

We are looking for

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering (e.g., Electrical & Electronics, Electronics & Communication, or a related field)
• Experience with network connectivity devices and remote monitoring systems
• Basic understanding of international rollout and distribution of connectivity solutions
• Strong project management skills, able to handle multiple small initiatives simultaneously
• Proficiency in MS Office tools, especially Excel
• Fluent in English; Finnish is an advantage
