About the role
In this role, you will act as a bridge between R&D teams in Finland and China and global manufacturing sites. Your main responsibility is to translate engineering changes into clear, correct, and manufacturable product configurations within a global product model.
This role requires strong analytical thinking, structured data handling skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a cross-cultural, multi-site environment. Please note that this is not a mechanical or electrical design role, but rather a configuration, integration, and systems-focused position.
Work tasks
- Interpreting mechanical and electrical design changes from engineering teams
- Clarifying technical details across global sites to ensure consistent implementation
- Building and maintaining product configuration logic, variants, and dependencies
- Validating configurations for correctness, completeness, and manufacturability
- Ensuring product data quality and supporting release cycles
- Identifying systemic and downstream impacts of design changes
- Developing and maintaining configuration models in PDM and KTOC systems
- Supporting system integration and testing across CRM, SAP, and KTOC
- Documenting workflows and supporting knowledge transfer when needed
We are looking for
- Experience in product configuration, PLM/PDM systems, or modular product architecture
- Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Automation Engineering
- Advanced Excel skills
- Basic scripting or programming skills (VBA, Python or equivalent)
- Fluent English communication skills
To succeed in the role, you have
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Systems thinking and the ability to understand downstream impacts of changes
- Experience working in multi-site or cross-cultural environments
