Staffing
About the role
In this role, you will design and implement AI-assisted development workflows, including autonomous coding agents, MCP (Model Context Protocol) integrations, and self-configuring CI/CD pipelines. Your work will make a team of 250+ engineers more productive through intelligent automation and cutting-edge AI solutions.
This is not a typical coding role—you’ll create new AI tools, build custom agents, and explore next-generation workflows that help software teams work smarter.
You are offered
- A great opportunity to work with products and systems that help save lives and mitigate climate change, e.g., in weather forecasting around the world
- Permanent employment through Academic Work, offering a great opportunity to grow as a professional, extend your network, and establish valuable contacts for the future
- Lunch benefit and extensive occupational health care
- Opportunity to be recruited to the client if you thrive and succeed in the role
Work tasks
- Build custom AI agents and autonomous coding workflows
- Develop and extend SDKs (e.g., Anthropic SDK, OpenAI API)
- Design agentic workflows and orchestration systems
- Work with MCP servers or advanced tool-use patterns
- Implement scalable prompt engineering and context management for large codebases
- Collaborate closely with engineers to integrate AI tooling into real-world development pipelines
We are looking for
- Degree in Computer Science or equivalent, with genuine curiosity about how LLMs work
- Hands-on experience trough personal projects, coursework, or hackathons involving something commonly used agent platforms such as OpenAI agents SDK, Anthropic SDK, Crew AI, LangChain, LangGraph, Autogen.
- Understanding of software development fundamentals
- Bonus: experience with agent frameworks, prompt chaining, or tool-use patterns
We value more than credentials:
- GitHub or portfolio showing curiosity, self-driven learning, and experimentation
- Thoughtful opinions on the future of AI-assisted development
- Ability to articulate what excites you about AI in software development
To succeed in the role, your personal skills are:
- Genuinely curious—you explore new things because they fascinate you
- Self-starter who builds to learn, not just to meet deadlines
- Comfortable admitting gaps in knowledge and figuring things out independently
- Clear communicator of technical ideas—strong writing skills are important for prompt engineering
