About the role
ReOrbit is a leading manufacturer of software-enabled satellites for secure communications. Their current satellite project Ukko is now in the assembly phase, with the planned launch of the satellite scheduled for next Spring.
As a Harness Production Technician, your main responsibility will be the manual assembly, soldering, and crimping of spacecraft cable harnesses. You will work closely with the AIT Manager, team engineers and quality control to ensure precise execution of work instructions.
This is a hands-on, production-focused role requiring excellent attention to detail and familiarity with electronics work. You’ll also receive cleanroom and project-specific training at the start of your employment.
You will work together with an experienced, international team in Hernesaari, Helsinki.
Work tasks
- Cable harness assembly and preparation
- Manual soldering of wires and connectors
- Crimping and use of specialized tools
- Following work instructions and quality standards
- Documentation and reporting
- Collaborating with the team on-site
We are looking for
- Relevant educational background (vocational, college, or polytechnic in electronics/electrical field)
- Strong hands-on skills, especially in soldering and crimping
- Familiarity with cable harnesses (e.g., from aviation, space, or electronics industries)
- Ability to use and understand various crimping tools
- Fluent communication skills in English Bonus points for:
- Experience in aerospace or aviation work or similar work
- Certifications or training in aerospace or aviation soldering
