Senior Snowflake Data Engineer / Administrator , Helsinki

About the role

In this role you will work with one of the largest Snowflake environments in the Nordics. The role combines both pipeline development and platform administration, giving you the chance to design and optimize data flows while also ensuring the platform remains optimized. You will be responsible for designing, building, monitoring, and maintaining Snowflake platforms, as well as developing and improving data integrations and data models. A key part of the work is to collaborate closely with development teams and data consumers, while also helping to define and implement best practices for the platform. Work tasks

• Designing, building, monitoring, and guiding Snowflake Data Platforms
• Building and optimizing data integrations and data models
• Collaborating and consulting with development teams and data consumers
• Contributing to the development and implementation of best practices

We are looking for

• Solid Snowflake expertise including development and administration (SnowPro is a plus)
• Proven experience in Azure environments, including Azure Data Factory and related services
• Strong skills in DBT, SQL and data modeling
• Good understanding of cloud platforms and solid technical depth
• Fluency in English

It is meritorious if you have

• Hands-on experience with Python and modern data tooling
• Experience working with large-scale Snowflake environments
• Previous experience in the retail industry
• Familiarity with additional cloud platforms (GCP, AWS) as well as AI and BI solutions
• Proficiency in Finnish
