Solution Development Engineer, Porvoo/Espoo

In this role you will be working with investment projects and development at our client. You will be the first contact point when business needs help for a new project idea and support in ensuring open communication between business and engineering. In addition, you will support in scoping, resourcing and documentation in the early project phases. For development work, you will for example work with tools, templates, trainings, processes and work procedures. You will be involved in small enchantments and piloting new ways of working.

Tasks and responsibilities in this role are for example:

• Collecting and presenting data from new projects, upcoming workload, and current and future resource prospects (including services)
• Developing and implementing time- and cost-efficient mode of operations, work processes, templates and instructions for the portfolio projects in emphasis of the study phases
• Finding, together with Solution Development Manager, needed help and expertise for the development manager during the Idea generation and Initiative Shaping phases in the projects
• Responsible together with SDM for estimating budget and schedule for the upcoming project phase and creating a resource plan together with colleagues
• Communicating with applicable stakeholders of the project development and engineering related issues
• Supporting new Development Managers, Project Managers and disciplines in implementing the company project model in early phases

The role involves lot of communication with different stakeholders and the work environment is quite hectic from time to time. That is why this role requires excellent communication skills and proactive and efficient way of working.

• Suitable educational background (M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Technology or Engineering)
• Fluent spoken and written English, fluent Finnish and other languages are seen as an advantage
• Basic IT skills (Google tools)
• Good organization, prioritization and time management skills
• Self-driven way of working and effective communication skills
• Motivation to learn renewable solutions, refining and petrochemical processes including process equipment and process automation

In addition, knowledge of one or several of the following field are seen as an advantage: project management, engineering disciplines, cost control, cost estimation, scheduling and the tools being used (e.g. Monday.com, SAP PPM, PowerBI).
